Chocolate Milkshake

For the past few days all i've been wanting a thick, cold, chocolatey milkshake. So I've decided to share this delicious, simple, and quick recipe with you all. It makes a great breakfast or light lunch, or simply a lovely snack, and since spring is around the corner and the sun has begun to shine again it's a perfect refreshment. Not to mention the fact that it is full of antioxidants and health benefits from the cacao and honey. Cacao contains some vital vitamins, including a range of Vitamin B and Vitamins C and E. It also contains iron, calcium and magnesium, to name but a few minerals. It also a good source of protein, fibre and monounsaturated fats (the good stuff). All this from a little bean. Spectacular!

Serves 1 


2 frozen bananas

1 cup almond milk

1 tbsp cacao

a touch of vanilla

a pinch of salt

1 tbsp honey/ a date


  1. Place all the ingredients in the blender

  2. Blend until smooth. This doesn't take long but you may have to give it a little mix half way or add a splash of ice water to get it moving, and you're done!
